Polyurethane foams are incredibly versatile. It is used in many applications to provide protection, support, comfort, and safety. Polyurethane foam is characterized by its light weight, resilience, low odor, and high resistance to mildew. In comparison to Ester, Ether-based polyurethanes are more flexible, better in wet environments and more affordable to produce. Ether foams have larger cell structures than ester, which allow greater airflow and moisture permeability.
Applications include automotive seating, display and cushion packaging, gaskets, retail items, medical, and protective packaging.
